Agrimarketing : October 2008
CAMA UPDATE SASKATCHEWAN NEWS C AMASaskatchewan sponsored the Agricultural Producers Association (APAS) breakfast at theWestern Canada Farm Progress Show on last summer. The breakfast was a great success with many producers and exhibitors in attendance. Joint monthly meetings have been arranged with the International Asso- ciation of Business Communicators (IABC) on the third Tuesday of every month. It’s a way to get to know your local CAMAmembers, as well as the local IABC members. Learn about upcoming events and most of all get in on the newest information your colleagues have about AGRI-MARKETING! The meeting is held in the Boffins Club at Innovation Place with the start being 4PM and ends once everyone leaves. In the coming year we hope to have more joint meetings and events with other agricultural organizations or associations. It’s a great way to net- work and it gives individuals an opportunity to learn about other orga- nizations and associations. We will be looking to expand the number of events that we hold in 2009 to cover a few more trade shows and also hold some events in rural communities. ESS will elect new board members for 2008-2009. There were a couple of positions that were vacant in the past year that we want to fill for the new year and will be looking to the mem- bership to fill these. We will also be losing a couple of board members who have new commitments and will be stepping down. Our next event will be held in conjunction with the Canadian Western Agribition. We also look forward to participating in the Crop Production Show in Saskatoon in January, 2009. In the next year our intentions are to have more involvement with the student chapter throughout the year including holding joint func- tions with them. The 2008-2009 Student Chapter Board will be setup within the next month and we will be able to start collaborating with them at that time. CELEBRATING THE BEST!
