The Meyocks Group will continue to be the advertising agency of record for Hy-Vee as well as its other accounts. Hy-Vee purchased The Meyocks Group in 1994 when it was known as Meyocks Benkstein Associates . The agency later operated as Meyocks & Priebe Advertising . Richard “Dick” Meyocks retired in 1995 and passed away in 1996. Co-founder Ken Benkstein remains a senior coun- selor with the firm. Rhea & Kaiser Marketing Commu- nications (R&K) is named lead agency partner for Valley Irrigation, a division of Valmont, Omaha, NE; providing integrated communica- tions support for all Valley product lines. R&K appoints Diane Martin, Group Acc’t Mgr; Julie Newman, Sr. Acc’t Exec; Patsy Comella, Media Dir; Deron Johnson, PR Dir; and AmyMcEvoy , PR Acc’t Supvr for the Valley account. The agency also names agribusiness journalist Drew Harris as Sr. Acc’t Exec, PR, working on the Bayer CropScience portfolio of Southern row crops products. Campbell Mithun announces its newly formed Syngenta Seeds team includes Tim Holmes, Acc’t Supvr; Michelle Arntzen , Dir of Direct Mktg; Chrissy Evans, Acc’t Exec; and Erick Jensen, Media Supvr. Campbell Mithun and Weber Shandwick work as an integrated team to develop branding and strate- gic communications programs for several Syngenta brands in N.A. Campbell Mithun also develops, executes and places all advertising and other marketing communica- tions for the company. Osborn & Barr (O&B) names Mandy Heth Acc’t Exec for the QUALISOY, United Soybean Board (USB) and Ohio Soybean Council accounts. Sarah Yancey is named Acc’t Exec on the USB and QUALISOY accounts. The agency promotes Jerris Breslin to Broadcast Bus Dir and Jenny Vatterott to Broadcast Bus Assoc. Publications in Construction and Agriculture (PICA) , a subgroup of the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) , names Jean Hiller of Two Rivers Marketing as its Public Relations Person of the Year. Senior editors at PICA publications chose Hiller for her “best practices” in media rela- tions. The criteria the group uses to rank nominees include reliability, accuracy, quality of information pro- vided, trustworthiness, integrity and level of experience about their com- pany, products and industry. Kim Wirth joins Bader Rutter as Ass’t Acc’t Exec and the agency promotes Lindsay Sasse to Ass’t Acc’t Exec working on the Dow AgroSciences account. Allyssa Berry joins the agency’s PR group as Ass’t Acc’t Exec. Rick Stoner joins as an Acc’t Exec and Erin Malewicki joins as Ass’t Acc’t Exec Merial Animal Health account. Julianne Klimetz joins Charleston| Orwig, Inc. , as Acc’t Exec for the agency’s Issues Management Depart- ment. She was Acc’t Mgr for DCI Group , a public affairs and issues management firm in Washington, D.C. Swanson Russell promotes Ed Salem to Sr VP/Exec Creative Dir. He serves as a member of SR’s Officer’s Council and has been a VP/Creative Dir for the agency. Emily Epstein is promoted to Assoc Acc’t Mgr, for Schering-Plough Animal Health , Land O’Lakes Purina Feed LLC and Meridian Animal Health . She was previously an Acc’t Coordinator. Meredith Duling joins as PR Coordinator. She was most recently a News Reporter at KETV-Omaha. Jennifer Brammer McCarthy joins the agency as Media Planner. The Lincoln office’s PR group promotes Chris Trautner to Media Tracking Coordinator and hires Stephanie Geery-Zink as a PR Writer and Joan Williams as PR Counsel. Jamie Johnson joins AdFarm as Team Lead in the company’s U.S. operations. Johnson assumes respon- sibility for lead- ing several key clients including the agency’s U.S. animal health business and others involved in production agriculture.
