Agrimarketing : June 2008
This year’s Agri-Marketing Conference was a little more relaxing thanks to the Relaxation Station sponsored by Nicholson Kovac. Barry Libert discusses We Are Smarter Than Me: How to Unleash the Power of Crowds in Your Business at the Second General Session on April 17. Congratulations to the University of Florida students— winners of the 2008 Student Marketing Competition. Dan Heath takes time to sign copies of the book he co-wrote, Made to Stick: Why Some Ideas Survive and Others Die, and visit with attendees during the break. Conference attendees register for great prizes at the martini slide during the DTN/The Progressive Farmer Best of NAMA Celebration Reception, April 16, in the Connection Point. Mike Gustafson, John Deere, presents the coveted John Deere Signature Award to a representative from Iowa State University. The winner received a $3,000 prize! “I’ve been attending NAMA annually for nearly 20 years. It’s always a great opportunity to pick up new ideas, stay in touch with others in our industry and see award-winning work. I’ve even heard great speakers I’ve later used for our company events.” Lani Jordan Director, Corporate Communications CHS Tom Hoogheem, Monsanto Company, addresses students and advisors during the Student Awards on April 17. This is the first year that Monsanto sponsored the Student Marketing Competition, and they have committed to sponsoring the competition for the next two years. June 2008 ¦ AgriMarketing 17
