Agrimarketing : January February 2013
34 Agri Marketing January/February 2013 The Alberta Chapter currently has 37 members and is proud to announce the CAMA-AB Student chapter at Olds College, just north of Calgary. We had a successful CAMA in the Country event Oct. 3 that was well attended and enjoyed by all that participated, followed by a board meeting Nov. 6. The CAMA AB chapter was well- represented at the Best of CAMA in Saskatoon, and we all enjoyed the hospitality shown to us by the Saskatchewan chapter. On Feb. 25 Olds College will be hosting our speaking event and several of our board members will be judging the first Olds College Marketing presentation competition. This will kick off with a speaker at about 4:30 pm followed by ag business and business students presenting their marketing plans in teams of three to four people. Several of the Provincial Board members will be judging and providing feedback to the students. The next board meeting will be heldonMarch12at3pmatthe Bayer offices. There will also be a Lunch and Learn Event "Life & Leadership" on Jan. 15 at the Bayer Offices in Calgary. This is a great way to spend a lunch hour --- great company, good food and some food for thought. Check out our facebook page https://www.facebook.com/ AlbertaCAMA for details. Our annual general meeting will be held April 3 or 4 in Edmonton, AB. in conjunction with the Farm and Ranch show, along with a featured speaker.
