Dow AgroSciences introduces a new brand and visual identity. The adoption of the red Dow Diamond logo with the Dow AgroSciences word mark associates the enterprise as a wholly owned subsidiary of The Dow Chemical Company. Deneen Sebastian joins Cheminova as North American Fungicide Portfolio Mgr. She was with BASF and had been with Cyanamid. Josh Snotherly joins as Area Sls Mgr for the U.S. MidAtlantic/ Northeast Territory. He was with MANA Crop Protection. Valent expands and restructures its sales force: Rick Kraus is promoted to Senior Mgr of Distribution Strategy. Mike Riffle is promoted to Mgr of Nat'l Sls and Mkt Development for Valent Professional Products (VPP). Joe Chamberlin is promoted to Field Mkt Development Specialist and Market Development Mgr. Arysta LifeScience promotes Hildo Brilleman to Head of Marketing and Bus Development, Africa and Middle East (AME). Daniel Forlivio, formerly Mktg Mgr for Arysta LifeScience in Brazil, becomes Head of Mktg, Herbicides. A U.S. District Court awards $5.3 million to two affiliates of Dow AgroSciences (DAS) in a lawsuit over Bayer's Bacillus thuringiensis biotechnology patents. The patents were ultimately found to be unenforceable due to inequitable conduct. The award reimburses attorneys' fees and costs incurred by the DAS affiliates in defending against Bayer 's litigation. Krishan Jindal, Ph.D. joins AgriThority LLC as an Associate. He was with Savannah Seeds Pvt. and has been with the Australian Wheat Board-India, Hindustan Unilever and Punjab Agricultural University. The Purdue University Board of Trustees ratifies the appointment of Allan Gray as the Agriculture Chair of Excellence in Engagement. Gray is Dir of the Center for Food and Agricultural Business and the MS/MBA in Food and Agricultural Business program. H.J. Baker & Bro. and subsidiary Tiger-Sul Products announce the purchase of a suphur processing facility in Irricana, AB. Robin Starkenburg joins Digi Star as Mktg Mgr. She had been with ABS Global and Holstein Int'l. Todd Kranz joins Select Sires Inc. as Chief Development Officer. He was with Cargill AgHorizons. Southern States Cooperative's Roanoke Feed Mill, Vinton, VA, is named 2012 Feed Mill of the Year by the American Feed Industry Assn and Feedstuffs. Kent Nutrition Group, Rockford, IL, is named the runner-up. Arlan Suderman joins Water Street Solutions as Sr Mkt Analyst.
