Cidrerie Michel Jodoin has been honoured with the title "Agri-Marketing Business of the Year," awarded by CAMA during an official ceremony at the Salon de l'Agriculture, on January 16, 2008. Located in the beautiful Rougemont area, Cidrerie Michel Jodoin happily welcomes visitors to introduce them to the exquisite flavor of cider products. Magnificently situat- ed on a mountainside, the cidery, wor- thy of Europe's finest wineries, is a dream that became reality thanks to Michel Jodoin's strength of character. For it takes a visionary to believe deeply in one's passion and communi- cate it with conviction, in order to rally together all of the necessary people to bring such a project to fruition. And that is what Michel Jodoin has man- aged to do, despite doubts and difficulties. In the last three years, the cidery has made a shift to "rosé," following the company's long-term vision. Michel Jodoin has begun converting part of the orchard, planting more Geneva rootstock, an apple variety characterized by rosy flesh that pro- duces exceptional rosés. He is hop- ing to increase current production, which includes the sparkling rosé, Rosalie, as well as a rosé ice cider, and to eventually create others. This is a specialized niche filled exclusive- ly by Cidrerie Michel Jodoin. A flourishing business, a unique jewel in Québec's crown, Cidrerie Michel Jodoin has won many presti- gious awards over the years, under- lining the quality of its work and the excellence of its products. And this year, CAMA's Québec chapter is especially proud to honor Cidrerie Michel Jodoin by bestowing on it the title of "Agri-Marketing Business of the Year" for its remarkable contribu- tion to promoting and restoring cider 's image in Québec. Congratulations to Cidrerie Michel Jodoin and the entire team. Best of success for the future! For more information on Cidrerie Michel Jodoin, visit www.cidrerie-michel-jodoin.qc.ca. BEST OF CAMA 2008 For the first time ever, the Best of CAMA will be hosted by the Québec chapter in 2008. The event will be held on November 6, 2008, at Hotel Loews Le Concorde in Quebec City.
