"EPIC is not out to change labeling require- ments," says Pres Dave Buchholz. "We simply work with states to ensure the EPIC label com- plies with existing requirements." Retailers order labels online at no charge on state-specific Web pages. "Label specifics vary, but the EPIC 'e' logo is always prominent --- promoting a consistent brand image," Buchholz adds. GETTING THE WORD OUT ZimmComm New Media has been a part- ner with EPIC virtually since the organiza- tion's beginning in 2004, because Chuck and Cindy Zimmerman sincerely believe in the importance of ethanol to the nation. ZimmComm's activities for EPIC began with sending audio news releases to radio stations and farm broadcasters. In addition, ZimmComm provides event coverage for EPIC at IndyCar races and other ethanol-related confer- ences and events and now has created an archive of more than 10,000 photos from those events including audio interviews and video clips. ZimmComm is also responsible for developing EPIC's member Web site www.epicinfo.org using the blog format to regularly update members on EPIC activities.
