The division of POET mar- ket ethanol feed co-products. POET Nutrition is responsible for one of the more important achieve- ments in biorefining --- the develop- ment of the standard-setting Dakota Gold Distillers Dried Grains with Solubles (DDGS). POET Nutrition's Dakota Gold is an excellent source of livestock feed and is in demand across the globe. Ashley Woodward joins The Hondo Group, Ft. Worth, TX, as an Acc't Exec for Wyffels Hybrids and Badger Veterinary Hospital. Prior to joining the agency, she served as an intern at Remington Hybrid Seed Co. She recently completed her term as Pres of Agricultural Communicators of Tomorrow (ACT). Cara Blackwell joins the agency as Prod and Traffic Mgr. Tina Hong joins as a junior Graphic Designer. Prior to joining R & K, she man- aged the Cumberland County IL Farm Bureau. Colle+McVoy is the recipient of the America Business Media's (ABM) 2007 Creative Excellence in Business (CEBA) Award for its New Holland North America "Innovation" cam- paign, which was presented at the 12th Annual ceremony in New York City. The CEBA Awards honor out- standing business-to-business adver- tising in the communications indus- try with a $25,000 grand prize. The winning ad features a pic- ture of a tractor parked on a desert with the headline: "Perhaps more innovation than spreading manure deserves." Jennifer Windrum is promoted to PR Mgr at Swanson Russell Associates (SRA), Omaha, NE. Pre- viously, she has worked for former Omaha Mayor Hal Daub and with KMTV. Griffin had been with Rhea & Kaiser Marketing Communications, Michigan Farm Radio Network, World Wide Sires, and Valley Grove Dairy in Hastings, MI. AM Nick Nicholson (r), co-founder of Nicholson Kovac, Inc. (NK), announces his retirement. To commemorate his achievements, NK employees commissioned artist Ted Burn to paint a watercolor of the Nicholson Kovac building at dusk with Nick's corner office illuminated and his familiar sail boat visible in the window. The painting is symbolic of Nicholson's illuminary role as Nicholson Kovac's chief creative officer over the years. Pete Kovac (l) will continue to lead Nicholson Kovac as Pres/CEO. Phil Gayter, who joined NK last spring as Dir of Svcs, will lead the agency's cre- ative efforts. Nicholson began his career in 1969 as a graphic designer and later entered the advertising agency world at Fletcher Mayo and then Valentine Radford, where he and Kovac worked together. On Jan. 1, 1981, together with Steve Huntley and Paul Welsh, Nicholson and Kovac started the agency known as NKH&W Marketing Communications, Inc.
