10 AgriMarketing October 2007 AdFarm, Calgary, AB, appoints Nolan Berg as CEO. He was most recently with a strategic market- ing consultancy and has worked for DuPont and Novartis. Roger Reierson, Chmn/Pres says, "Our agricultural focus demands leadership and talent, dri- ving deeper for our clients and a passion for the advancement of agri- culture. "Nolan is a great fit for our vision, he brings the perfect blend of 'adness' and 'agness' and we are thrilled to have him join AdFarm as our new CEO." McCormick Company names Laura Mayfield as its new Pres where she will lead and manage the agency's offices in Kansas City, Amarillo, Des Moines and Fairport, N.Y. She most recently was with DATACORE Marketing, Inc. Mark Perrin is named Pres of JLM1926 Holdings. McCormick Company, McCormick Canada and The Hondo Group operate under JLM1926. Kathy Cornett serves as chairman for JLM1926. The agency promotes Jill Goodrich and Zach Tassell, each to the role of VP. Goodrich is located in Amarillo, TX, and Tassell is located in Kansas City. Goodrich has managed Allflex USA, Nolan Ryan's Guaranteed Tender Meats and Five Rivers Cat- tle Feeding. Tassell oversees the media plan- ning and buying activities for the agency and its clients. He also is the primary strategist for Pioneer Hi- Bred and DuPont Crop Protection Canada. Margi Ainsworth and Pat Reese are promoted to Assoc Media Dirs. They are located in the company's Kansas City office and work with all McCormick offices. Osborn & Barr (O&B) forms a new Executive Management Team. The team, which reports to Joe Osborn, Pres, and Steve Barr, CEO, is com- prised of five of the agency's key leaders, including returning Strate- gist Michael Turley. The team will take over func- tional management of the agency on a day-to-day basis. In addition, the team will assist Osborn and Barr as they focus efforts on devel- oping more strategic and long-term growth opportunities for the agency. It includes: Cheryl Bergeron, Chief Creative Officer. Steve Kunkel, COO. Rhonda Ries-Aguilar, CFO. Michael Turley rejoins Osborn & Barr as Exec VP. Hugh Whaley, Pres of the O&B Association and Government busi- ness unit. The Kansas City office of O&B adds Jason Silvers, Debbie Davids and Kelly Midkiff. Sr. Art Dir Silvers had been with Bernstein-Rein Advertising (BRA). Acc't Exec Davids had also been with BRA and has also been with McCormick Co. Midkiff joins the agency as Office Svcs Mgr and Financial Ass't. The Farm Equipment Manufactur- ers Association names Woodruff Sweitzer as its first-ever agency of record. Also at the agency, Steve Warme joins as VP/Acc't Svs for its Calgary office. He had been Acc't Dir with Rare Method and Program Dir with Critical Mass. Amanda Powell joins Bader Rutter as Sr Acct Exec in Public Rela- tions, and will lead the PR efforts for several of Dow AgroSciences products. Powell will be based in San Anto- nio, TX. Prior, she owned a freelance business and has been with McCormick Co. Ariens Company, Brillion, WI, selects Swanson Russell Associates as its agency of record. SRA will provide strategic mar- keting communications for Ariens- branded consumer mower and snow throwers, as well as the Ariens Com- pany's commercial mowing equip- ment brands: Gravely, National Mower and Locke. Dan Thompson, business and sys- tems analyst in the Interactive Ser- vices Department at Nicholson Kovac, Inc. (NK), receives the agency's 2007 Success Through Partnership Award in recog- nition of being the ideal exam- ple of the spirit of the agency's mission and philosophy. NK employ- ees nominate their peers for this annual honor, which was introduced nearly 20 years ago to recognize out- standing achievement beyond the call of duty, and for an individual who constantly generates relevant thinking and ingenious ideas for the agency and its clients.
