He will continue in his role as the company's Digital Sls/Mktg Mgr. A more than 30 year veteran agri-marketer, Randall has been with Miller Meester Advertising and Farm Journal. Allen Barkve is named Gen'l Mgr of the company's Hay & Forage Grower as well as continue his Gen'l Mgr responsibilities for Farm Industry News and Corn & Soybean Digest. Barkve has been with Penton Media for the past 25 years. The 54th annual International Federation of Agricultural Journalists (IFAJ) congress will be hosted by the Belgian Association of Agricultural Journalists (BVLJ-ABJA), a founding member of IFAJ. The congress will be held at the Thermae Palace hotel on the Belgian seaside in April 2010. Meister Media Worldwide opens "Studio M," a video/audio produc- tion and editing facility for agribusi- ness media. The new 500 square-foot space is located at the company's headquar- ters in Willoughby, OH. Heading the group is the company's eMedia Director Jim Sulecki. Lessiter Publications' (LP) magazine, Rural Lifestyle Dealer, selects Jordan Sales & Service, Post Falls, ID, as the 2009 "Dealership of the Year." Dan Zinkand joins LP as the Managing Editor of No-Till Farmer and Conservation Tillage Guide, and will also serve as Assoc Editor of Farm Equipment. A freelance writer and interna- tional ag tour manager, he has also worked on Iowa Farmer Today. Julie Root joins Illinois Farm Bureau's RFD Radio Network as News Anchor/Broadcast Editor. She was with Tri States Public Radio, Macomb, IL. Sheila Kearney returns to Ogden Publications as an Advtg Acc't Executive. She had been with The Topeka Capital-Journal and Florists' Review. Jennifer Mohwinkle joins the merchandise marketing team as a Mktg Coordinator. She is a recent journalism graduate from the University of Kansas. Rachel Smith joins the marketing team as PR Specialist. She worked for Baker University. The company also launches a new sustainable-living radio show in conjunction with former "Ask Andrea" radio host Andrea Ridout and energy expert Dan Lepinski, which replaces Ridout's existing "energizeGREEN" program and will incorporate content from the company's magazines. Mother Earth Radio will air nationwide on IRN/USA Radio Network. WATT announces it will host the agribusiness industry's second virtual forum, the WATT Poultry Nutrition and Health Forum, on March 25, 2010. The educational event offers five web seminars with live Q&A sessions, on-demand content, virtual sponsor booths and networking events, all on the internet. Jill J. Dunkel is promoted to Editor of Feed-Lot magazine. She was Ass't Editor and has been affiliated with the magazine since 1996. Bob A. Strong, co-founder of the magazine, is named its Publisher. Farm World newspaper is acquired from dmg world media by MidCountry Media, Inc. Farm World covers ag news, events, policy and trends in Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, Michigan and Tennessee. MidCountry Media, Inc. is a newly formed company owned by Merry and Gary Thoe. The company's first acquisition was completed in September when it purchased the publishing assets of the U.S. Publishing Business of dmg world media.
