AgriThority is an independent field and clinical data-through- delivery product and market development company specializing in crop and animal agriculture, horticulture and allied markets. Novus Int'l Arenus business unit acquires Equilite, Inc. a provider of holistic health and nutrition products for horses and pets. Product lines include the Sore No-More Liniment Product Line, Herbal Supplement line and Botanical Animal Flower Essence line, totaling 39 individual products. Other Equilite products include bathing, fly control, general health, behavioral training, relaxation, liniment and legs, as well as natural pasture seed. Marty Cook, a precision agriculture specialist, is named Canadian Reg'l Sales Mgr for Topcon Precision Agriculture. Agricultural market research company, Kleffmann Group (KG), announces a strategic alliance with XS Inc., a collector and manager of ag retailer point-of-sale data in the U.S., allowing KG to develop global solutions for market research and intelligence services using highly technological interfaces in several countries and markets. The companies have taken initiatives in Brazil and Canada as first steps in a global expansion strategy. The first product to be launched will be amisPOS in Canada. AgReliant Genetics acquires the retail seed operations of Dahlco Seeds, Inc., Cokato, MN, integrating the business into its Wensman and Great Lakes Hybrids operations. Dahlco dealers and customers in MN, SD and ND will have access to new products from Wensman Seed, Wadena, MN. Dealers and cus- tomers in WI, IL and MI will have access to new products from Great Lakes Hybrids headquartered in Ovid, MI. Nufarm Ltd. acquires two sorghum seed companies, TX-based Richardson Seeds Ltd. and MMR Genetics Ltd. In 2008, combined sales of the two companies totaled approximately $22 million. Nufarm's Gen'l Mgr of Seeds, Brent Zacharias, says, "The addi- tional scale and reach resulting from the acquisitions will deliver significant growth and will be com- plementary to the company's existing sorghum operations that were secured via last year's acquisition of Lefroy seeds." Context Network launches the Context Renewables Practice service.
