Congrats to all honorees! HORIZON AWARD WINNERS Horizon Awards recognize achievements by up-and-coming members of the organization on local, regional and national levels. Formerly titled the Meritorious Achievement Awards, they honor the efforts of emerging NAMA leaders. Lori Strum, Strategic America Lori has been instrumental in planning events for Region 3 for several years. Her leadership and initiative have made a positive difference for her chapter and local members. Marvin Kokes, National Cattlemen’s Beef Association Marvin has been active in the rebuilding ofthe Rocky Mountain Chapter. He also serves on the Careers Committee. “NAMALeadership Awards exemplify the spirit of professionalism and dedication on which this organization was founded. These well-deserving honorees are paving the way to help keep NAMArelevant to the needs of its members.” Carol Anderson, Mariposa Partners, NAMA President Matt Coniglio, Fastline An instrumental part ofplanning Boot Camp for the past several years, and a leader in the revitalization of the Chesapeake Chapter, Matt has helped make the organization stronger in many ways. Greg Ehm, Two Rivers Marketing Group Greg’s work on the Chapter Services Committee has led to stronger, more active chapters across the country. CatherineWang, Gibbs & Soell A driving force in the stewardship of the Eastern Chapter, Catherine has worked extensively to help plan the Tri-Chapter Event in Washington. KristaWolf, GROWMARK Krista is being awarded for her hard work to energize the Heartland Chapter. She also plays a leadership role in the planning of regional Best ofNAMA events. May 2009 s AgriMarketing 21 OUTSTANDING CHAIR Sally Behringer, Nicholson Kovac This prestigious award is presented to leaders who willingly accept responsibility and effectively manage programs. Sally’s exemplary work on Best ofNAMA, from judging to show production, has earned her this distinction. WORKHORSE OF THE YEAR Bob Wilhelm, AdFarm TheWorkhorse award goes to an inspiring individual who completes a major assignment, and in the process, motivates others to work harder, better and smarter.
