AT CLOSING NEWS Farmers Mutual Hail Insurance Company of Iowa completes the closing on its acquisition of John Deere Insurance Company and John Deere Risk Protection, Inc. Deere had been involved in the crop insurance business for nine years, becoming a top-10 provider of crop insurance with national distribution. RBH Group and its investment partners, Goldman Sachs Urban Investment Group, Prudential Financial, and AeroFarms, together with the City of Newark and the New Jersey Economic Development Authority, announce the closing of a $30 million project to redevelop a former industrial site in the Ironbound community of Newark, NJ, into the world’s largest indoor vertical farm and global corporate headquarters for AeroFarms. Monsanto announces a $400,000 commitment to partner with and support the efforts of experts working to benefit monarch butterflies.
